Debriefing

God’s desire is to bring healing in every area of our lives.  He creates places of rest and refreshment just for that purpose.

The story of the prophet Elijah is a great example of a person experiencing hardship and in need of refreshment. The battle Elijah was in seemed overwhelming. Notice that God did not leave Elijah sitting there. Instead, He supernaturally fed Elijah two times and sent him on a journey for forty days and nights to Mount Sinai.
There at the mountain God asked Elijah why he was running. Basically He asked Elijah to tell his story. From that exchange God spoke  to Elijah in a personal way, showing His power through earthquakes, wind, and fire. But what caught Elijah’s heart was, the sounds of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave”. Is that not the case in all of our lives? When we hear the personal whisper of God, refreshment flows, and we are able to again hear His voice for the next steps.

Debriefing helps us to process and evaluate our experiences in ministry in order to learn from these experiences and find God’s perspective in our story.

The purpose of debriefing is that you will be able to cope and thrive in a better way and to become more effective in ministry.

We offer debriefing in different ways for singles, couples, families and teams.

Possibilities:

  • a 5 day retreat in Elijah’s Place in the Netherlands.
  • a field visit to debrief you and your family wherever you are in the world.
  • 5 sessions over Skype or face to face.
